Puma’s ‘Disruptor Brand’ spirit gatecrashed the sport of Sailing. The Puma Ocean Racing team was created not just to participate in the world’s most difficult endurance event—The Volvo Ocean Race—but to win. Ten months of grueling round-the-world media coverage needed a livery design to rock the sport.

A series of OOH sites in each major in-port race city were the target of this B-Movie inspired campaign.

As part of PUMA’s growing sustainability initiative, ‘Clever Little World’, an environmentally aware character was created—‘Marmo’. This little guy hung on the boom below the hull for the ride of his life, meeting a variety of ocean life in peril on the way.

Aimed at children and adults alike, the ‘Grip’ story effortlessly creates performance products. The suckers of the Sea Monster provide the perfect sole technology for wet surfaces, but also—via Marmo’s tentacles— a super-friendly ‘hug’ across kids’ lifestyle products.
